1. Scientific Database Service
CNIC has been dedicated to the promotion of scientific data sharing since the State Planning Commission approved the initiation of the CAS Scientific Database Project in 1986, which systematically and continously collected essential data resource produced and accumulated in long-term science activities.
In 2015 the new version of the Data Cloud website was released. By the end of 2015, the project has integrated 592TB sharable scientific data, with 50.42 million access visitors and 630TB downloads.

2. Geospatial Data Cloud
Geospatial Data Cloud (GS Cloud) provides geospatial data search, reservation, download and on-line model analysis cloud service for users through integrating storage, data and model resources in the fields of geoscience, remote sensing, atmosphere, etc. By the end of 2015, the platform has more than 500TB data with 7 million metadata information and 2 million entity data. The registered users has exceeded 100,000 and the amount of distributed data has exceeded 500TB.
Portal of the GS Cloud
CNIC holds regular meetings and training seminars for users of the GS Cloud. The Third GS Cloud User Conference themed on sharing geographic intelligence and finding data value was held at CNIC on 8 December, 2015. More than 200 experts, scholars and students participated in the conference.
