CNIC holds training seminars on e-management for research institutes of the CAS with some examples as follows.
1. Training Seminar for Users of CAS Academia Resource Planning System
CNIC holds regular training seminars for users of the CAS Academia Resource Planning (ARP) System which supports the e-management endeavors across the academy by integrating and optimizing the management flow of research, human resources, finance & logistics with an online platform for business processing, information services and decision-making.
Previously, users mainly participated in on-site training seminars at the ARP center. Started from 2015, the training pattern has changed to a combined one with online and offline courses. In 2015, the video conference system was used for hosting 21 training seminars on 12 ARP applications for institutes and nearly 2000 ARP users based on demands. In addition, the self-learning environment of ARP user has been improved. The learning module called "follow me" was released in both mobile and web versions. Apart from using pictures and texts, online video courses were also added to the courseware. Within half a year since its release, "follow me" has been used by 126 institutes and attracted nearly 5000 visits by the end of 2015, making it an online knowledge base for ARP users.
