International Cooperation of Computer Network Information Center

Among China's earliest organizations to initiate and support ICT-enhanced scientific research and management activities, CNIC has always been attaching great importance to the academic exchange and cooperation with international science and technology communities.

CNIC has maintained long-term partnerships with world-class research organizations such as U.S. National Center for Supercomputing Applications and ForschungszentrumJülich, and established close ties with international partners in various countries and regions such as the U.S., Germany, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong. CNIC also serves as one of the founding organizations of the Global Ring Network for Advanced Application Development (GLORIAD) and the support unit for the Chinese National Committee of the Committee on Data for Science and Technology (CODATA), and has experts holding executive or consulting positions in international organizations such as CODATA, World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), Asia Pacific Advanced Network (APAN) and Pacific Rim Application and Grid Middleware Assembly (PRAGMA). In addition, CNIC has hosted several influential international conferences, such as the 10th and 20th International CODATA Conference, the 9th IEEE International Conference on e-Science, and the International Conference on Theoretical and High Performance Computational Chemistry.
