Prof. PETITON Obtained CAS PIFI Certificate at CNIC
2016 CAS PIFI (President's International Fellowship Initiative) Fellow Prof. Serge G. Petiton from University of Lille1 made a presentation entitled Hierarchical Distributed and Parallel Programming for Extreme Computing at CNIC on May 4. During his talk, Prof. Kai Nan, Deputy Director of CNIC, awarded the certificate of CAS PIFI 2016 for Prof. Serge G. Petiton.
Prof. Serge G. Petiton is P.I. of several international projects with Japan, Venezuela and Germany. Since 2012, Prof. Serge G. Petiton has a half-time CNRS senior research position at the “Maison de la Simulation” in Saclay. Prof. Serge G. Petiton has advised more than 22 Ph.D students and authored more than 100 international journal and conference articles. His main research interests include “Parallel and Distributed Computing”, “Post-Petascale Auto/smart-tuned Dense and Sparse Linear Algebra” and “Language and Programming Paradigm for Extreme Modern Scientific Computing”; targeting especially geoscience and big data applications.
Prof. Serge G. Petiton is Member of SIAM, ACM, IEEE, the YALE club of France and the Ivy Plus European leaders club.
