On September 6, 2023, the National Basic Science Data Center and CODATA Chinese National Committee (CODATA China) jointly organized the seminar on "Scientific Data Platforms and Services" at Computer Network Information Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CNIC, CAS). Rahman from Malaya University, European Open Science Cloud experts Prof. Milan Ojstersek from University of Maribor, Dr. Lauren Maxwell from Heidelberg Institute for Global Health and European Grid Infrastructure (EGI) Senior Technical Outreach Specialist Dr. Yin Chen participated in the discussion. 　　  During the seminar, Dr. Simon Hodson presented "CODATA, WorldFAIR and GOSC: International cooperation for FAIR data and Open Science" with highlights on CODATA strategies. In recent years, Big Data Department of CNIC initiated several open data services to support the implementation of open data recommendations of CODATA and other data organizations with priorities on persistent identifier service (CSTR: Review of common identifiers for open science, presented by Ms. Jia Liu), semantic data ecosystem linking local and global resources (OpenCSDB: Enabling Knowledge-Driven Scientific Data Linking and Integration, presented by Ms. Fang Han), publication-linked data (Science Data Bank: an open and general-purpose data repository, presented by Ms. Lulu Jiang), software stack supporting FAIR implementation at CAS (FairStack: Scientific Data Center Software Stack System, presented by Ms. Jiazeng Li), and collaborative open data ecosystem among data centers (BigFlow: The End-to-End Workflow Framework for Cross-Center Scientific Data Analysis, presented by Dr. Zhenjing Cheng). The participants had in-depth discussions on the above topics of common interests, which laid the foundation for potential cooperation on related scientific data software products and services. Finally, on behalf of CODATA China Secretariat and National Basic Science Data Center, Prof. Lianglin Hu sincerely invited experts from CODATA community to attend the Scientific Data Conference to be held in 2024, a cross-domain academic conference organized by CODATA China to promote the implementation of open science recommendations and other agreed global priorities among data practitioners in China.
