Multiple Dialogues Expand CSTCloud’s Regional Partnerships

Date: Jan 08, 2025

Recently, representatives from CSTCloudof CNIC, CAS, actively participated in several open-science dialogues. These discussions underscored CSTCloud's pivotal role in enhancing the connectivity and interoperability between research e-infrastructures for Open Science to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Among these, one highlighted discussion was upgrading CSTNET's international public bandwidth, a move that could significantly impact large-scale scientific endeavors. Besides, another informal dialogue explored the potential of co-developing regional cloud-based solutions to promote Open Science in international projects, such as in SKAO and others. Moreover, a conversation under the UNESCO regional umbrella highlighted the necessity of strengthening the Asia-Pacific alignment to develop Open Science Infrastructures for disaster risk reduction.

Stepping into the New Year 2025, we foresee that these talks are just the beginning of connecting CSTCloud, CSTNET, and the GOSC Initiative with global research communities. Certainly, open dialogues and further alignment will continue to deepen CSTCloud’s work in promoting Open Science and SDGs.

Please stay tuned for CSTCloudof CNIC, CAS.
