Date: Jan 08, 2025

CSTNET supported by the Computer Network Information Center of Chinese Academy of Sciences has recently upgraded its international public bandwidth to 100Gbps, significantly enhancing its role in supporting global research. Following the expanded connection between CSTNET and GÉANT from pan-Europe, this upgrade further underscores CSTNET's commitment to providing reliable, secure, high-speed network connectivity to boost scientific innovation.

So far, CSTNET has established itself as a cornerstone of China's cyberinfrastructure for science and research. It operates domestic and international gateways and maintains exchange nodes for seamless global connectivity. Looking ahead, CSTNET's commitment to open science is unwavering. We will leverage worldwide research and education networks to facilitate large-scale data-intensive research in ITER, SKAO, LHCONE, etc., as well as various open-science collaborations for scientific innovation and in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.
