CSTCloud Develops Suite of AI Tools to Streamline Research Workflows

Riding the wave of AI innovation, the China Science and Technology Cloud (CSTCloud) has developed a suite of handy AI tools designed to streamline research workflows. These AI-driven solutions aim to empower scientists with more collaborative, efficient, and innovative approaches to scientific discovery.


One of the key highlights is the Intelligent Research Assistant, powered by locally deployed multimodal large language models (LLMs). This tool offers a wide range of advanced features, including academic writing enhancement, intelligent translation, LaTeX recognition, and structured data processing. Launched in March, the CSTCloud Team Knowledge Base has emerged as a robust AI-powered platform for research collaboration and knowledge management. With key capabilities such as multi-team management, fine-grained permission control, intelligent document parsing, and semantic search across databases, the platform enables research teams to transform knowledge assets into long-term value. 


All of these services are underpinned by the CSTCloud Large Model API Open Platform, which provides standardized access to a broad range of AI models. Features such as secure API key authentication and detailed token-level analytics effectively lower development barriers and foster AI-driven innovation. The platform's performance is further enhanced by the CSTCloud AI Lake, which leverages localized knowledge base devices to continuously improve the accuracy and responsiveness of knowledge retrieval. In parallel, the CSTCloud team has launched a series of capacity-building sessions, with one workshop in February attracting nearly 2,500 participants from across the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and beyond.


Looking ahead, CSTCloud remains committed to empowering scientists through a robust research e-infrastructure that delivers full-stack AI+Cloud solutions. The team will continue to evolve its tools in response to user feedback and emerging research needs.
