GOSC IPO welcomes new delegates for an SDGs dialogue

Date: Jan 30, 2026

In late January, the International Programme Office of the Global Open Science Cloud Initiative (GOSC IPO) welcomed new delegates from the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS) and the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, CAS, to discuss regional alignment on GOSC for the SDGs.

Building on the GOSC-MAS joint capacity-building event in Ulaanbaatar in late 2024, this dialogue continues to explore opportunities for closer regional collaboration on climate change and disaster mitigation through resilient e-infrastructures.

Empowered by CSTCloud and its international partners, particularly from Europe, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region, the Global Open Science Cloud (GOSC) aims to facilitate access, interconnectivity, interoperability, and inclusiveness across worldwide research e-infrastructures for Open Science and international research collaborations. Building on the testbed and domain demonstrations of the Global Open Science Cloud Initiative developed over the past five years, we will seek opportunities for joint efforts to advance the capabilities for implementing Open Science and the SDGs in the region and beyond.
