Brief Introduction

As a research, development, construction, operation and service guarantee institution of scientific research informatization and management informatization of the CAS, the Computer Network Information Center, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CNIC, CAS) was authorized by the Academic Degree Commission of the State Council to provide graduate programs which allow students to access cutting-edge cyberinfrastructure of the CAS and work with CNIC researchers and its collaborative network across multiple R&D fields.

CNIC has doctoral degree programs in the first-level disciplines of computer science and technology and cyberspace security, as well as a full-time professional degree doctoral program in electronic information. It has set up a postdoctoral research station for the first discipline of computer science and technology. There are 26 doctoral advisors and 62 master's supervisors.

There are currently 298 graduate students enrolled in the CNIC, including 96 doctoral students and 202 master's students, and has trained more than 278 PhD and master's degree graduates in the last five years. CNIC is dedicated to the cultivation of high-level talents in the field of information technology and informatization applications and the cultivation of cross-disciplinary talents in informatization in the directions of computer network and cloud computing, high-performance computing and intelligent computing, big data technology and system, management information system, cyberspace security, and Internet information dissemination. 

We also welcome students with academic backgrounds in computing, communications, electronics, mathematics and other related disciplines to apply for relevant graduate programs.
