As one of the earliest experts engaged in Internet research in China, Li Jun developed China's first Internet router in 1992, which was successful deployed on the backbone network of the National Computing and Networking Facility of China (NCFC) connecting the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University, and Tsinghua University, a project contributed to China's full-functional connection to the Internet.
