CNIC approved to establish Post-doctoral Workstation
The Computer Network Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was approved to establish post-doctoral workstation on computer science and technology on September 27, 2019.
Rooted in its rich research resources, close partnership with scientists and experiences in organizing key research and engineering projects, CNIC plans to recruit more than 20 postdoctoral research fellows on various areas such as computer network, parallel computing, database and distributed processing system (data-intensive computing and applications), artificial intelligence, computer and information management systems, and computer decision support systems (distributed processing of large-scale data) for the next three years.
Important directions will include but are not limited to theories, key technologies and systems development on advanced network architecture and systems, big data management and analysis, large-scale parallel algorithms and platform, next-generation AI computing and data platform.
Advisors to overseas postdoctoral research fellows include 1) XIE Gaogang (computer network), 2) JIN Zhong, ZHANG Jian and NIU Beifang (parallel computing), 3) ZHOU Yuanchun (database and distributed processing system), 4) YANG Xiaoyu (artificial intelligence).
