Initializing GOSC workplan 2025
On January 22, GOSC IPO convened an expert meeting to initiate strategic planning for GOSC 2025. Among these, key strategies are outlined to foster global collaboration on sustainable development. Rooted in the GOSC Testbed, GOSC regional nodes will be co-developed to validate and showcase diverse open science solutions tailored to various SDG scenarios.
These nodes are envisioned to streamline the management of local SDG resources while enhancing the sharing of SDG-related knowledge across institutional, national, regional, and global levels. Aligned with the United Nations' International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (IDSSD), GOSC regional nodes will prioritize demands from the Global South, thus co-building a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable global scientific ecosystem, further advancing the achievement of the UN SDGs.
The GOSC Regional Node Call for Proposals is expected to launch in March, and the GOSC International Advisory Board (IAB) will be established to oversee the selection process. Stay tuned for updates, and welcome further engagement. (Xueting Li, Lili Zhang)
