Research Team of CNIC won the Third Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award

The project on Instrument and Equipment Sharing Management Platform led by Prof. Jiao Wenbin won the Third Prize of 2018 Beijing Science and Technology Award under the category of the application of computer science. The system built a cloud-based instrument and equipment sharing management platform for the society to share and use research resources at a low cost, improving the efficiency, accuracy and cost effectiveness of instrument management. Used by 15 regional centers and 114 research institutes across the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the platform has incorporated more than 9000 accessible instruments with a total cost of 12 billion Chinese Yuan. The number of active users has reached over 41,000.
